UK Statement of Reasons Aleksey Vasilyevich Anichin, as a deputy Minister in the Russian Interior Ministry and the head of the Investigative Committee, was involved in the mistreatment of Sergei Magnitsky whilst in detention, which contributed significantly to his death on 16 November 2009.
