Eugene SHVIDLER is a business partner of Roman Arkadyevich ABRAMOVICH, with whom SHVIDLER has maintained a close relationship for decades and from whom he has obtained financial benefit. SHVIDLER is therefore associated with a person (Roman Arkadyevich ABRAMOVICH) who is involved in obtaining a benefit from or supporting the Government of Russia (1) by owning or controlling directly or indirectly: (i) Evraz plc; and (ii) the following subsidiaries of Evraz plc: JSC Evraz NTMK; PJSC Raspadskaya; JSC Evraz ZSMK; JSC Evraz United Coal Company Yuzhkuzbassugol; and JSC Evraz Kachkanar Mining and Processing Plant; and (2) by carrying on business in sectors of strategic significance to the Government of Russia, namely: extractives, construction, and transport. SHVIDLER is a former non-executive director of Evraz plc. As such, SHVIDLER has been involved in obtaining a benefit from or supporting the Government of Russia through working as a non-executive director of Evraz plc, an entity carrying on business in sectors of strategic significance to the Government of Russia, namely, the Russian extractives sector.
