Bryan D'Ancona went to Syria in December 2013. He is a member of the jihadist group Firqatul Ghuraba, whose leader is the Senegalese terrorist Oumar Diaby, who has been designated since 23 September 2014 under the United Nations 1267 Al Qaeda/Da’esh regime.He has admitted to having participated in fighting alongside members of Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of AI Qaeda that reportedly dissolved in January 2017, and has been an actor in jihadist propaganda seeking to recruit individuals to become foreign terrorist fighters in Syria. |
